Skagit County Oyster Run Led by Ian "SheepDog" Polhemus

Event date:
Sun, 09/22/2024 - 9:00am

Let’s shuck some Oysters, Fam! Join us for this epic travel to the 2024 Skagit County Oyster Run. Ian “SheepDog” Polhemus is on point as the Ride Leader this year.

Note that the ride is not slabbing it on I-5 or I-405 at any point.  This is all backroads travel and there will be no rest stops.  Plan on 2.5 hours of BITS (Butt In The Seat).  If you don’t think you can do this, you may want to choose a different pack to ride with this year.  If you must pull over at any point along the route, give a thumbs up on your way out of the formation.  We’ll see you in Anacortes.

*We just pre-rode this route last Sunday, (1 October).  There is a WHOLE LOT of clutch time and a little brake time all along Hwy 9.  Be prepared to work those fingers!

We’ll link up for the Pre-Ride / Safety Briefing at the mothership Eastside HD at 0845.  When you arrive, you should already be completely topped off with fuel and have an empty bladder.  We’ll be KSU at 0900.

Ian’s included a couple of maps (below) – one link is for Google Maps; the other is for your HD app.  *If you’re using the Google Maps link, you’ll want to turn on the “Avoid Highways.”

Once we arrive in Anacortes, the ride will conclude.  Getting back home is the onus of each individual rider.
