Ok riders looking to improve your riding skills the time has come! I mentioned this in our January meeting, but we now have a date confirmed for the “slow riding skills course.”
Date: Sunday April 28, 2024
Time: Start time to be determined but plan on after 12 noon
Location: Everett, WA
Length: Plan on 4 hours including ride time to course and skills sections with breaks
Cost for 16 riders in class: $150 per person - $50 discount for the first ten riders that sign-up thanks to our ESHOG board. And you earn a $50 gift card from Harley after proof of course completion. Plus many motorcycle insurance companies give rate discounts for proof of course completion. So, your true cost is at or under $50 for a 4-hour class!
Cost for 10 riders in class: $240 per person minus the same discounts mentioned above
Last year we had 16 riders and need to get 16 riders to commit again this year for a discounted cost class cost of $2,400 or $150 per rider.
You might ask why I should attend. Most motorcycle accidents occur at slow speeds. Additionally, most of our motorcycles weigh over 800 lbs. and are incredibly challenging for one person to pick up.
Improved Control and Safety: Mastering slow riding techniques enhances control and reduces the risk of accidents, especially in tight spaces and challenging conditions.
Increased Confidence: Developing proficiency in slow riding boosts confidence, making riders feel more comfortable and capable in various riding situations.
Enhanced Maneuverability: Learning slow riding skills improves maneuverability, allowing riders to navigate through traffic, execute precise turns, and manage obstacles with greater ease and precision.
We had several riders in our class last year who had over five years of riding experience and found the class extremely helpful for all the reasons mentioned above.
Please confirm on our calendar for the event on April 28.
I will follow-up with payment information.
Thank you, Safety Officer Dave Haverstick
